Club Records How to Claim
Club Records are the best times our riders have recorded in time trials over the years. You are eligible to hold records if you are a member of the club when the ride was done. The Club Record recorder holds the club record data since the early days of the club and wishes to keep this data base in order. He should be applied to if you wish to make a club record claim. Once the recorder has your claim data he will verify the data and ratify the result. Once the result has been ratified in this way the record can be published on the club web site and in Spokesperson. No ratification implies the record has not yet been accepted for publication. Records may not be granted if there is a problem with the ride ie the data cannot be verified or the course was shortened that day for whatever reason. Observance of CTT rules is of course expected. This is not an exclusive list of potential problems.
In order to view the currently accepted club records look on the website http://www.sevale.co.uk/. You will see that there are Club Records for Club Events (these are open to Club members riding our weekly club time trial series) and for Open Events (these are open to club members riding any open event promoted under CTT rules on CTT approved courses). There are also Course records for anyone (not necessarily a member of the club) who rides our club courses during our weekly time trial series. The course record for the K46/10 in club records is a 22. However as far as the recorder is aware the national course record is held by Stuart Dangerfield with a 19 which he produced in an open event. That case illustrates our club course record distinction.
The Recorder will require the following data for Open Record claims
1) Your name
2) Which record you are claiming (there are several categories)
3) Distance
4) Course Code
5) Promoting Club
6) Date of Ride
7) Time recorded
8) Evidence (Result sheet or Web site address)
For Club events the recorder will not need Evidence as this will be available to him via the Time Keeper.
Please do not expect your new record to be published until ratification has been completed.
